Original Powerpoint for pitch

Updated amendments based on feedback

This is how my powerpoint looked initially before I edited it based on the feedback I was given at my practice pitch.

After reflecting on comments made by my critics saying that my powerpoint was "boring" I decided to change the theme of the powerpoint to make it more interesting to look at. I decided to go for a black and bright blue theme. I feel the black reflects the North London Hip Hop scene being in the dark and I feel the bright blue is reminiscent of the vibrant music scene that we have in North London.

Initially, I hadn't included a slide on my original powerpoint addressing the fonts I was planning on using. In this slide, I'm showing the font that I used for the logo/front cover of my magazine. I also included reasons as to why I chose these fonts.

Upon criticism of how I priced my magazine in my first powerpoint presentation, I decided to increase the price of both the physical and online copy of the magazine by 50p.

Updated Presentation

Potential Client Questions

1. Why have you priced your magazine at 3 pounds for a physical copy and 2.50 online?
I have done this in order to give my magazine a USP of being environmentally friendly by encouraging people to buy the electronic copy through pricing strategy.
2. Why did you choose this genre?
The reason I chose this genre is due to there being an existing and growing Hip Hop scene in North London meaning there is lots of content to cover.
3. Do you plan on celebrating any female hip-hop artists?
I plan on celebrating artists solely on how talented and popular they are with no prejudice against either gender.
4. Do you want to break the stigma of Hip-Hop?
I want Hip Hop's stigma to be broken and also to normalise it in North London by giving insight into what goes on.
5. Is there enough content in North London to create a monthly magazine?
There is more than enough content to have new topics to talk about every month without the magazine becoming repetitive and boring. This is due to North London Hip Hop being an existing and growing scene.
6. Why that colour scheme?
I feel that these colours best represent the Hip Hop genre. The yellow represents the gold and aspirational dressing common in Hip Hop. The green reminds me of graffiti paint which is common in urban North London. Black and Grey will be used primarily for my text.
7. Is there going to be a QR code?
No, because I have included the magazine's Instagram page on the front cover. This will be how readers will interact with the magazine online.
